It is being tested on the road in Montréal right now. If you would like to know when it is available, send a one-line email to the address above with “Notify me” in the subject. That list is used for exactly one message and then deleted.

Common questions
A trip did not start.
Check three things in Settings: location permission is Always, motion permission is on, and the car in Vehicles matches the name your iPhone shows under Bluetooth. If you force quit the app, open it again; background wakes stop after a force quit. If the car never shows up as a hands-free device, try the Bluetooth LE fallback or motion-only mode in Settings.
A trip started when I was a passenger.
That happens when you ride in your own car while someone else drives: the car’s Bluetooth connects to your phone either way. Open the trip and mark it Personal, or delete it. In motion-only mode the notification has a Not my drive button.
The distance looks short.
Odie wakes on a significant location change and starts GPS once your car is connected and you are moving, so the first few hundred metres can be missed. Tap the trip, then Edit, and move the start point. If it keeps happening, raise the GPS sensitivity in Settings › Tuning.
How do I move to a new iPhone?
If iCloud sync is on, sign in to the same Apple account and open Odie. Otherwise export a JSON backup from Backup settings, send it to the new phone, and import it there. Import merges by id, so running it twice does not duplicate anything.
How do I send a diagnostics log?
Settings › Diagnostics › Export. It is a text file that stays on your phone until you share it. If you email it to support@odielog.com, include what you expected and what happened instead.
Can I change the rates?
Work settings has CRA, IRS and custom schemes. CRA and IRS come with a dated table for 2024 to 2026 from canada.ca and irs.gov, and each trip is priced at the rate of its date. You can switch on the territories supplement, override the current year’s rate for an employer that pays another figure, or use the custom scheme with your own rate and an optional second tier.
